Range & Status

An uncommon species, found on stony ground and gravel in 10-80m. Found on the south and west coasts of the British Isles from Orkney through to the Channel Islands. Elsewhere southwards to north Africa and the Mediterranean. Numerous older records for Cornwall and one more recent record from Turnaware Bar in the Fal Estuary in 1984.
